Andreas F. Kelletat studied German Philology, Eastern European History, Scandinavian Philology and Finnish Philology, after completing his community service. From 1984 to 2020, he worked at the universities of Vaasa (Finland) and Mainz (Germany), where he trained translators and interpreters. He has published books and essays on literature, translation and cultural studies, as well as short stories and novels. He is the initiator of Germersheimer Übersetzerlexikon (Germersheim translator lexicon, uelex.de).
