Carmen Heine studied Technical Translation at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences and Cultural and Language Mediation at Europa-Universität Flensburg. After working for many years in research projects and as a freelance technical translator, she received her Ph.D. from Aarhus University in 2008. As an assistant professor there, she teaches Technical Language, Technical Communication, Scientific-Text Production and Translation Theory. Her research focuses on editorial process research in the field of technical documentation.
