Christine Schlosser studied Romance Philology, Hungarian Studies and Finno-Ugric Studies in Berlin and Göttingen. She worked at the Finno-Ugric Seminar of the University of Göttingen. She lives near Berlin as a freelance literary scholar and translator (Hungarian and Saami). Her research interests include Hungarian literature of the 19th and 20th century, the reception of Hungarian and Saami literature in German-speaking countries, and the role of translators in literary transfer.
