Elisabeth Gibbels received her Ph.D. in Translation Studies and History from the University of Vienna with a thesis on the German translations of Mary Wollstonecraft's A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, and is a lecturer at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her research interests lie in the field of language, power, and gender.
