Elisabeth Rothmund studied German Philology at École Normale Supérieure Fontenay/Saint-Cloud as well as at the Universities Strasbourg and Paris-Sorbonne. She is a habilitated Maître de Conférences at Université Paris Est Créteil. She researches and teaches on German-language literary and cultural history of the early modern period.
