Gudrun Bukies studied Translating and Interpreting at Heidelberg University. Afterwards, she worked for several years in multinational companies as interpreter. She currently teaches Dialogue Interpreting at the University of Cagliari (Italy). Her research focusses on the didactics regarding German as foreign language and also on contrastive linguistics.
