Hildegard Spraul

Hildegard Spraul is a professor emerita at Saarland University and long-time Head of the Russian Department of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, Translation, and Interpreting. Her main areas of research and teaching include semantosyntax of Russian, public speech in the USSR and the Russian Federation, translation studies, foreign language research and teaching, technical language research. Rostov State University (Russia) awarded her an honorary doctorate in 2000.
