Ingrid Schwamborn

Ingrid Schwamborn, Dr. phil., studied Romance, English and Comparative Literature and lived in Brazil for over 20 years. She is a member of several scholarly societies, including the International Stefan Zweig Society, the German-Brazilian Society, the German Society for the African States of Portuguese Language, Cologne, and an honorary member of the Academia Cearense de Letras, Fortaleza. She has published widely on Brazil and Stefan Zweig. From the Academia Portuguesa da História, Lisbon, she received the 2019 Dr. P. M. Laranjo Coelho Prize, together with José Augusto Bezerra, for the first bilingual Portuguese-German edition of Vespucci's Soderini Letter.
