Lorena Melgaço Silva Marques is an associate senior lecturer in the Institute for Urban Research at Malmö University. The Brazilian researcher working on the interface between socio-spatial practices, urban planning and technological development. Her Ph.D. was awarded in 2016 by Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil). Her fields of interest include i.e. bottom-bottom spatial practices and their relation to the production of space, planning education in the global South, the decolonial turn in planning, and smart cities.
