Margarete Flöter-Durr is a research associate in the Lilpa laboratory (UR 1339) Strasbourg University. For the past 10 years, her research has focussed on the Schützian notion of relevance, its theoretical status and practical implications in translation. For the past 30 years, she has worked as a translator specialising in legal, technical and medical translation. Accredited in France and Germany, she works for courts, notaries and government departments as well as with companies.
