Ruth Katharina Kopp

Ruth Katharina Kopp, Dr. phil., is a sworn graduate translator. She studied Portuguese, French and English as well as translation studies in Heidelberg, Aix-en-Provence, Lisbon and London. She then worked in energy-related development aid in Europe, Africa and America, among other places, and as a freelance translator. Today she teaches German, English, French and information processing at the SRH Heidelberg. She conducts research on philosophical concepts relevant to translation studies and on the impact of machine translation on society.
