Sarah Ahrens is a research assistant at the Institute for Translation Studies and Specialised Communication at the University of Hildesheim. She also works as a freelance translator for plain language and is a board member of DNGK e. V. (German Network for Health Literacy). Her research in the field of plain language focusses on evidence-based approaches and neutrality, as well as on interculturality, visualisation and AI.
