Velga Polinska, PhD, is a research assistant at the Latvian Language Institute, University of Latvia. She serves on the board of the NGO “Down Syndrome Latvia” and co-edited the first Handbook of Easy Latvian, contributing to Easy Language and Disability Studies in Latvia.
