Call for Papers

The book series Audiovisual Translation Studies (AVTS), published by Frank & Timme in Berlin, is open to authors whose works deal with innovative theoretical, applied, or methodological questions on audiovisual translation. Both high-quality monographs (e.g., dissertations, post-doctoral theses), thematically bound anthologies (e.g., conference or panel proceedings), and handbooks are envisaged as forms of publication. All published titles in the series will have undergone rigorous peer review based on constructive comments. The languages of publication are English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian, but other languages may be considered.

The series is committed to the Open Access principle. Its volumes are published in hybrid form, i.e., in both print and digital format, and will be accessible online free of charge either immediately upon publication (Gold Open Access) or after 12 months (Green Open Access).

Book proposals may be submitted any time during the year. They will be assessed by the Series Editors and the Advisory Board, with additional reviews from independent referees where appropriate. The Editors and Publishers are committed to giving prompt feedback. Please submit your proposal directly to the Series Editors Alexander Künzli and Marco Agnetta. They will also provide you with more information on the proposal requirements, depending on the stage of completion of your book.
