Franziska Toscher studied History and French at the University of Rostock and holds a master's degree and a doctorate in Translation Studies from the University of Udine. Her research interests are translation in the humanities, the didactics of humanities languages and their translation, and knowledge transfer. She has been a freelance translator for several years, as well as an editor for DaF, and teaches Translation in the language pair German-Italian at the University of Udine.
