Silvia Ruzzenenti received her Ph.D. in 2012 from the University of Bologna (Translation Studies) and from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Translation Studies). She is active in teaching and research at both universities. She works as a literary translator, especially of contemporary non-fiction. Research areas: Durs Grünbein, the German territorial essay, translation history (Wilamowitz), journals, and cultural mediators in the 18th century. She has published in Euphorion, Zeitschrift für Germanistik and with Il Mulino, among others.
