Michael Schreiber has been a professor of French and Italian Linguistics, and of Translation Studies at the Faculty of Translation Studies, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germersheim since 2005. His research interests include the history of translation in the 18th and 19th centuries, language-pair related translation studies and contrastive linguistics with a focus on Romance and Germanic languages.
